week 7

Howdy.  The teaching is going pretty much the same, the holidays are a slow time because everyone is either out of town or with a bunch of people. This week should start picking up. We don't have any new investigators. New years eve was pretty lame. We played Book of Mormon Mania (Which is causing a lot of contention BTW, it's a violent game) and Phase 10, drinking Mtn Dew  until midnight, then we broke out the Martenellis and toasted the beginning of my "black hole year" (The full calender year you are away from home.) Then we all crashed because we normally go to bed at 10:30. The next morning was not nice to us. We all had MT Dew hangovers. Today marks the beginning of the end. Purcell and I are starting our new diets and exercise programs. My goal is to lose 100 lbs by next year. Should be easy. Assuming I stay in bike areas and stay out of Polynesian wards. (They feed you non-stop over there) Chexmix is always welcome. I wouldn't say no to anything you wished to send me. That would be rude.  Elder Barton sent me a letter from Houston and it only took 3 days to get to me. I am certainly settling in here in SoCal. I was saying goodbye to Wendy's the other day, and as I was standing there, I realized, "Holy Crap! I'm in California. For two years. dang." So that was kind of fun. I hope nothing to drastic happens or happened to you, as far as Holy Crap moments go. I'm learning to love out here. It's weird, I've never really loved people right when I meet them.
